Katherine, despite coming here tonight by herself, is actually having a good time. The start of her evening, she's enjoying a few glasses of strong alcohol (it takes a lot to have an impact on her), and people watching as she occasionally and idly runs the tip of her index finger along the rim of her glass. She looks approachable enough (those who know her might be more likely to say differently, but ah well).

Later on, she's finally dancing. And never let it be said that Katherine Pierce doesn't have awesome moves when she's more loosened up. Feel free to join her for a dance -- she may be a vampire, but she promises not to bite this time.

John will certainly not argue the 'awesome moves'. In fact, he's definitely in the 'admiring' side of the equation right now. And with a few shots of bourbon under his belt, he's definitely showing his appreciation a little obviously.

"Come here often?" Sure, it's an old line, but it's a classic for a reason. Right?

Being around for as long as she has means that Katherine has heard -- and used -- the gamut of lines. The old classics, however, are always funnier in this situation -- which she'd not normally admit. She slows down her dancing some so that she can actually hold a conversation without flailing too much. "I could be if I saw you around here more." She can shoot overused lines right back.
